Nagasakti Commended for its Efforts to Protect the Environment
Since its establishment in 1982, Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills as a leading textile manufacturer has been fully committed to minimising the environmental impact of its production processes. Through efforts such as the installation of an in-house liquid waste management system and investment in new, energy-efficient technology, the company goes to great lengths to ensure that its business operations are eco-friendly and carried out with the utmost sense of responsibility in guaranteeing the well-being of the surrounding community.
In recognition of this dedication to the environment, the Environmental Management Agency of West Java (Badan Pengendalian Lingkungan Hidup Daerah Jawa Barat, or BPLHD – Jawa Barat) in December 2015 awarded Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills with the Blue PROPERDA award – a distinction provided to companies deemed to have achieved high performance in taking steps to protect the environment.
Success in attaining the Blue PROPERDA award comes only a few months after the company received a similar commendation from the Regent of Bandung, in which Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills was named one of the industry’s best at taking steps to mitigate pollution. Going forward, Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills intends to build upon these latest achievements in reaffirming its position as a pioneer of eco-friendly textile manufacturing in Indonesia. The company also hopes to serve as an industry benchmark for businesses striving to emulate its accomplishments as a modern manufacturer of textile products such as uniform fabrics.
